School Board Minutes

December 11, 2006

There was a regular meeting of the West Fork School Board on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the board room. Those present were Karen Daugherity, Deborah Harnish, Tim Helder, Jerry Boyd, Daryl Quinton.

  I.                  The meeting was called to order by President Karen Daugherity.

II.                  Pledge of Allegiance and prayer were led by Daryl Quinton.

III.                  Motion by Jerry Boyd second Deborah Harnish to approve the minutes of the November meeting. Motion carried. (5-0)

IV.                  The board reviewed the financial statement.

V.                  Mr. Karnes reported on an area legislators meeting he had attended.

VI.                  Mrs. Barrett shared information concerning the Facilities Master Plan. After discussion the board decided to meet December 18, 2006, at 4:00 in the superintendent’s office to come up with a plan to present to the public.

VII.                  Other items discussed included construction and parking at the pre-school and BMEC and total instructional alignment project.

VIII.                  Deborah Harnish, Karen Daugherity, and Mrs. Barrett told about the ASBA conference.

IX.                  Motion by Tim Helder second Jerry Boyd to approve the transfer of Antonio Laris and Neil Laris to Greenland. Motion carried. (5-0)

X.                  Motion by Daryl Quinton second Deborah Harnish to approve the transfer of Scott       Baker, Steven Lowe, and Amber Lowe to West Fork from Fayetteville. Motion carried. (5-0)

XI.                  Motion by Tim Helder second Jerry Boyd to approve hiring Debbie Medart as bus driver, effective as of November 27, 2006. Motion carried. (5-0)

XII.                  Jerry Boyd asked about completion on the Immediate Repair project.

XIII.                  Motion by Tim Helder second Deborah Harnish to adjourn. Motion carried. (5-0)
