School Board Minutes

March 12, 2007 

There was a regular meeting of the West Fork School Board on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 7:00 in the board room. Those present were Karen Daugherity,  Daryl Quinton, Tim Helder and Jerry Boyd. Deborah Harnish was absent. 

1. The meeting was called to order by President Karen Daugherity. 

2. Pledge of Allegiance and prayer were led by Tim Helder. 

3. Motion by Tim Helder second Daryl Quinton to approve the minutes of the February meeting. Motion carried. (4-0) 

4. The board approved the financial statement. 

5. The principals gave their  reports. 

6. Mrs. Barrett reported that we will have school on April 6, which was optional and extend school to June 7 due to snow days. 

7. Motion by Jerry Boyd second Tim Helder to approve the transfer of Katalyn Paldino, Christian Paldino and Theorie Gray from Elkins. Motion carried. (4-0) 

8. Motion by Tim Helder second Daryl Quinton to transfer Flint Woods from Fayetteville. Motion carried. (4-0) 

9. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Jerry Boyd to transfer Eian Shae Johnson, Owain Micah Johnson from Greenland. Motion carried. (4-0) 

10. Motion by Tim Helder second Jerry Boyd to transfer Cassie Yancy and Victoria Yancy from Pr. Grove. Motion carried. (4-0) 

11. Motion by Tim Helder second Daryl Quinton to approve the D.C. Paving bid of $6,250.00 for paving of parking lot. Motion carried. (4-0) See attached. 

12. Motion by Jerry Boyd second Tim Helder to approve the resignation of Ray Boone as custodian. Motion carried. (4-0) 

13. It was decided to have the school board in-service, walk through on April 9. This will be followed by financial training by Buster Beardsley, a meal, then the regular school board meeting.

 14. Motion by Tim Helder second Jerry Boyd to adjourn. Motion carried. (4-0)
