School Board Minutes
October 8, 2007

There was a regular meeting of the West Fork School Board on Monday, October 8, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. in the board room. Those present were Karen Daugherity, Tim Helder, Daryl Quinton, Jerry Boyd and Deborah Harnish.

  1. The meeting was called to order by President Karen Daugherity.


  1. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Karen Daugherity and prayer by Tim Helder.

  1. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Jerry Boyd to follow policy and reorganize as follows: Tim Helder—President, Daryl Quinton-Vice President, Deborah Harnish-Secretary, Jerry Boyd-member, Karen Daugherity-member. Motion carried. (5-0)

  1. Administrators presented the Annual Report to the Public with each report followed by an opportunity for public questions and comments. The following reports were presented: West Fork School District by Mrs. Barrett, West Fork Elementary by Mr. Thaler, West Fork Middle School by Mr. Skelton, and West Fork High School by Mr. Karnes.

  1. Motion by Jerry Boyd second Deborah Harnish to approve the minutes of the September meeting. Motion carried. (5-0)

  1. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Karen Daugherity to approve the financial statement. Motion carried. (5-0)

  1. Motion by Deborah Harnish second Jerry Boyd to approve the tuition agreement with Ozark Guidance Center. Motion carried. (5-0) See attached.

  1. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Jerry Boyd to approve the following student transfers;


- Jarod Brewer—to Fayetteville- Tyler Christman—from Fayetteville- Colton Goodman—from Fayetteville- Chris Brown—from Greenland- Jason Girtman—from Greenland- Alexandria Gose—from Greenland- Jessica Gose—from Greenland- Megan Herd—from Greenland

  1. Motion carried. (5-0)

  1. Motion by Deborah Harnish second Karen Daugherity to approve the resignations of Libby Karnes-cafeteria and Virginia Slaughter-cafeteria. Motion carried. (5-0)

  1. Motion by Jerry Boyd second Daryl Quinton to approve hiring Christina Henretty as cafeteria worker effective 9-17-07. Motion carried. (5-0)


  1. Motion by Karen Daugherity second Jerry Boyd to hire Wanda Lovejoy as cafeteria worker effective 10-01-07. Motion carried. (5-0)

  1. Motion by Karen Daugherity second Daryl Quinton to adjourn. Motion carried. (5-0)
