Meeting Minutes 12/03/07

The monthly PTO meeting took place in the school library on 12/03/07. 

The main topic of discussion was the upcoming Family Movie Night which will take place on December 8 at 6:45 pm in the Activity Center.  The license has been secured so we can legally show the movie ‘Meet the Robinsons’.   Ms. Stout has the movie at home so we can borrow it for showing.  Bookmarks have been printed that contain some additional information and will be handed out to the students as a reminder.  We received donations from several vendors including Papa John’s pizzas, Pepsi products, hotdogs and nacho chips from Tyson, hot dog buns from Shipley, popcorn from Arvest Bank and miscellaneous sundries from Walmart and Super Foods.  Someone will monitor the door and allow sign-in for those that wish to drop kids off for a later pickup.  A few others are checking into possibilities of borrowing or renting a screen and speakers.

Treasurers report shows that our current balance is $1433.42.

Ms. Lunsford brought in sample costumes that she is working up for the Christmas play.  She was very appreciative that the PTO was able to provide some funding for this event.

Reindeer Lane Gift Store is set for December 5, 7, 11 and 13.  We are currently lining up the volunteers and arranging for tables.

February 4 is now set for the Internet presentation.  We are discussing options on providing childcare for that evening and should have that all worked out before that date. 

Ms. Smith has registered with Nestle Pure Life so the school can begin collecting labels off bottled water and they can be redeemed for sporting goods.

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 7, 2008
