School Board Minutes

November 13, 2006

There was a regular meeting of the West Fork School Board on Monday, November 13, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. in the board room. Those present were Karen Daugherity, Tim Helder, Deborah Harnish, Daryl Quinton and Jerry Boyd.

I. The meeting was called to order by president Karen Daugherity.

II. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Karen Daugherity and prayer by Tim Helder.

III. The following Annual Reports to the Public were given:

Elementary—Mr. Thaler

Middle School—Ms. Hayes

High School—Mr. Karnes

District—Mrs. Barrett

IV. Motion by Tim Helder second Jerry Boyd to approve the minutes of the October regular and special meetings. Motion carried. (5-0)

V. The board reviewed the financial statement.

VI. Motion by Daryl Quinton second Tim Helder to approve the resignation of Linda Bishop, middle school social studies teacher. Motion carried. (5-0)

VII. Motion by Jerry Boyd second Tim Helder to approve hiring Rebecca Bercher, middle school social studies teacher, effective October 23, 2006. Motion carried. (5-0)

VIII. Motion by Deborah Harnish second Daryl Quinton to approve the transfers of Calvin Hooper, Betty Young, Kody Cone, Alyxandrea Cone and Ryan Blakemore to Greenland. Motion carried. (5-0)

IX. Motion by Tim Helder second Jerry Boyd to designate Deborah Harnish as delegate to ASBA Delegate Assembly. Motion carried. (5-0)

X. Items under other included:

· The success of the first Middle School Drama Club play

· The Facility Master Plan for the next 10 years

· The land for sale next to the school

· Thursday, November 16, pep rally bonfire at 6:00 p.m. followed by Parents Make A Difference Night at 7:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

XI. Motion by Tim Helder second Deborah Harnish to adjourn. Motion carried. (5-0)
